Farmers market for Douglas?

Douglas may soon have its own farmers' market, if a few issues can be resolved.

Council David Christian says there would be conflict with the Douglas Markets Act, which stipulates where a market can be held in the town.

Consultation also needs to take place between Councillors, the Office of Fair Trading and stallholders from Douglas Market Hall.

David Christian says the Council supports the idea if problems can be overcome and a suitable venue found (audio file attached):
