by isleofman.com 12th February 2007
Three candidates have come forward to contest the vacant seat on the board of Braddan Commissioners.

Accountant Kate Beecroft, a candidate in Middle during the General Election; ambulance driver and former commissioner Alan Blainey; and another former commissioner, concrete caster Frank Cannell will contest the election on March the 8th – subject to there being no withdrawals or objections between now and 2 o’clock on Wednesday afternoon.

The seat is available following chairman Garry Beattie’s decision to step down due to deteriorating health.
