Smokers get more help

Smokers in the Isle of Man now have access to an Island-wide service which will help them kick the habit.

"Quit 4 You" has been launched as part of the Public Health Department's Tobacco Strategy, and will provide free help and support to anyone who wants to give up cigarettes.

Confidential appointments will be available with advisers in 10 pharmacies and 7 GP surgeries around the Island.

Co-ordinator, Anita Imberger says the service is based on the best available evidence for people who want to stop smoking:
