An Onchan Commissioner has defended the local authority’s decision to renew the lease for Nivison Stadium to Onchan Raceway.
Last month, the board voted for the promoter of stock cars and go-karting to continue operating at the venue in favour of plans submitted by the Isle of Man Cycling Association.
That decision prompted criticism from the Association, which wanted to use the facility as a velodrome.
