More E-gaming prospects

by isleofman.com 8th February 2007
There are high hopes more e-gaming firms could locate in the Isle of Man over the next few months.

A government delegation has just returned from what is billed as one of the most important global events for the e-gaming industry, in London.

They used the International Casino Exhibition Interactive to show prospective operators what the Island has to offer.

Seven private sector companies joined the government-led delegation at the Earls Court event.

Leading operators in areas from data hosting and IT to advocay and accounting joined the Isle of Man stand in an effort to attract new business.

They say they presented the Isle of Man as a responsible jurisdiction in a one-stop environment - able to meet both governmental and private sector requirements.

The arrest in America of two founders of an Isle of Man based e gaming company makes this image especially important.

DTI minister David Cretney says the team generated a good number of quality leads from firms interested in e-gaming opportunities in the Isle of Man.

And he hopes these will materialise in the coming months.
