Promoter meets festival stars

The promoter of the Peel Bay Festival has been telling Manx Radio of his excitement, when he met the two stars of world famous rock band The Who earlier today.

The band will be the biggest act at the seven day event, and will open proceedings on Wednesday, May 30th.

Jonathan Irving was at the official launch of the band's 2007 European tour, at which Pete Townsend and Roger Daltrey performed an acoustic concert, which was broadcast live on the Internet.

He says it was a fantastic experience and he can't wait to see the full band in the 10,000 capacity marquee on Peel Headland (audio file attached):
