MHK questions pension crisis

Tough decisions lie ahead over the future of the Isle of Man Government pension scheme.

That is the verdict of Onchan MHK Peter Karran - after the Treasury revelaed the annual liability for pensions will reach almost 37 million pounds in five years time.

The information was given in a reply to a Keys question from Mr Karran.

Mr Karran fears the figure is conservative - and the liability may be even greater.

He says there's a looming pensions crisis which must be addressed:
