Keys likely to get full radio coverage

The public may soon be able to hear all the proceedings in the House of Keys.

Currently Manx Radio only broadcasts question time in the House, but this may now change following a motion from Michael MHK David Cannan who wanted have important debates broadcast as well.

However it was felt such an ad hoc approach would be impractical, and ALL business would have to be broadcast. The matter has now been referred to the Keys management committee.

Political correspondent David Callister (pictured) says there were some concerns expressed that it might make rather less than riveting listening:
