Beatty - suspended sentence

by isleofman.com 7th February 2007
A 22 year old man has been given a 42 day prison sentence suspended for two years.

Steven William Paul Beatty of Harbour Road, Onchan, appeared after admitting the offence of production of drugs.

The defendant was searched at the Sea Terminal after getting off the ferry on November 24th, and he was found to have an ounce of cannabis resin in his possession.

The court heard it was the remains of a larger amount that he had bought in Amsterdam.

His advocate said the amount was not large and the drug was for the defendant's own use.
