Police in Douglas are investigating a burglary at a shop on Broadway.

It took place sometime between 2pm on Sunday (4th) and 6pm on Monday when a quantity of cash was taken from the 50/50 Dress Agency.

Police say the premises are located in a busy part of town and they would like to speak anybody who may have witnessed any unusual activity in the area at the time of the incident.

Officers believe the crime was not opportunistic and had been planned in advance.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Cannell at Lord Street police station on 631 426.
