Liverpool sea route not under threat

The Managing Director of the Steam Packet company says the Liverpool route is safe.

Following Saturday's incident in the River Mersey, when the Sea Express One (pictured) collided with bulk carrier the Alaska Rainbow, there has been speculation sailings would cease to the north west port.

However, speaking on this morning's Talking Heads programme on Manx Radio, Hamish Ross (pictured, left) assured listeners that isn't the case.

He says the company is committed to finding another vessel to service the route:
