Firestarter caught short?

by isleofman.com 5th February 2007
Police officers are investigating an incident of attempted arson over the weekend.

A fire was lit in the toilets on York Road in Douglas sometime between 8pm and 8.20pm on Friday.

Fortunately, a member of the public raised the alarm and fire officers were able to extinguish the flames before much damage was done.

Police say criminal damage is prevalent at the moment, and this case of arson could have resulted in a serious fire spreading to nearby properties putting lives at risk.
