Monday road closure

A stretch of road in Lezayre will be closed on Monday [Feb 5th] so police can carry out further investigations into a fatal car crash.

15 year old Danny Boyde suffered critical head injuries when the driver of the Peugeot 205 he was in lost control as it travelled towards Ramsey.

The accident happened on the evening of Sunday January 21st.

He was flown to a children's' hospital in Manchester, but later died from his injuries.

Scene examinations will take place on the Jurby Road from the St Judes junction to the Clifton Drive junction between 10 am and midday.

Deliveries and access to properties will be maintained, but the section will be closed to all other traffic.

Police apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
