Singer and Kelly withdraw

by isleofman.com 2nd February 2007
Three candidates will contest the two vacant seats on the Legislative Council.

Former North Douglas MHK and MLC Alan Crowe, former Ramsey MHK Charles Cain, and Peel commissioner John Lightfoot will again seek election to the upper chamber.

However, former Ramsey MHK and MLC Leonard Singer and local government administrator Peter Kelly, who were also in the first ballot, have not allowed their names to go forward for a second time.

The election will be in the House of Keys chamber on Tuesday, February 13.

Nominations for the second round of voting closed at 5pm today.
