Castle Mona sale welcomed

by isleofman.com 1st February 2007
The Department of Tourism is welcoming news of the Castle Mona sale.

The complex, which includes the Office, Breeze and the Superbowl, has been bought by the Sefton Group for ?4 million pounds.

It closed just before Christmas last year, and the sale was conducted by Deloitte in Manchester.

It's understood there are plans to turn the site into a four-star hotel, although as yet nothing has been confirmed.

Tourism Director, Geoff Le Page, (pictured) says the department views this move as a very positive step.
