Castle Mona has new owner

by isleofman.com 1st February 2007
The Castle Mona Hotel has been bought.

The Sefton Group has paid ?4 million for the complex, which closed just before Christmas last year.

The site includes the Office, Breeze and the Superbowl.

Administrators from Deloitte in Manchester were called in to conduct the sale.

Spokesman, James Igoe could not confirm any plans for the site, but it's understood the Sefton Group wants to turn it into a four-star hotel.

The Department of Tourism had been hopeful a deal could be struck in time for this year's centenary TT, but it seems unlikely any improvements could be completed before then.
