Derbyhaven appeal postponed

by isleofman.com 30th January 2007
An appeal against plans for homes at Derbyhaven has been postponed.

The three-day hearing was due to begin this week but has now been deferred after a request from one of the objectors.

Derbyhaven residents are strongly against proposals, submitted by a company owned by businessman Graham Ferguson Lacey, to build 17 houses and four apartments on the land.

They have appealed against the planning committee's decision to give them the go ahead and presented a raft of petitions for redress of grievance at Tynwald Day last July.
