Atlantic College scholarship on offer

by isleofman.com 29th January 2007
A Manx sixth form student is being offered a two year scholarship to Atlantic College in Wales.

The sixth form college which was founded in 1962, is described as providing the type of atmosphere that will draw out of the students a greater range of talents than they know they possess.

The Department of Education first started offering such scholarships in the 1970's, but the scheme was allowed to lapse in the 1980's. It was re-introduced in 2001.

Minister for Education, Anne Craine, says it's a very different and exciting opportunity for the lucky student who is selected.
