by isleofman.com 28th January 2007
Its thought that the death of a 54 year old Ballasalla man, whose body was discovered at the weekend may have been the result of a tragic accident.

House to house inquiries and a search of the area around Castletown Harbour was carried out after John Christopher Qualtrough was discovered , on Saturday morning, on rocks near to the harbour swing bridge.

Police want to talk with anyone who may have seen him in the Ship Inn on Friday night, in the area of the pub or who saw Mr Qualtrough or someone matching his description around the harbour after 10-30 on Friday.

He was of medium height, slim. with dark receding hair and a moustache. He had glasses on, a flat cap, light blue jeans, grey high tec trainers and a dark green outer coat.

Anyone who can help get in touch with Port Erin force 832222 or police headquarters 631212.
