A Douglas man is celebrating after coming up trumps on hit BBC show, The Weakest Link.

Roger Cave (pictured), a meat plant inspector for the Department of Local Government and Environment, applied to be a contestant on the television quiz and appeared on the box yesterday afternoon (Thursday).

It’s the second time in as many months an Island resident has won following Laxey woman’s Vicki Hewison’s success in November.

Roger, who watched at home with wife Helen and sons Alex and Chris, is thrilled but admits he never thought lightning would strike twice:
