Extension opens this evening

The opening of an extension to the 1st Douglas Scouting headquarters in Demesne Road, Douglas takes place this evening.

The ceremony will be performed by the Island’s oldest scout, 90 year old Laurence Kermode, who joined the organisation in the 1920s.

He will give a short talk, reminiscing on the early days of scouting..

Also taking part in the ceremony will be the Island’s youngest Beaver Scout.
