North Quay work to start soon

The Department of Transport says it’s going to complete its plans for North Quay in Douglas this year.

Minister David Anderson says the area will be pedestrianised in phased work which is due to start next month.

The plans are part of an improvement strategy which has already seen the Banks Road junction upgraded.

Mr Anderson says the next phase will take place further along the quay (audio file attached):
