MHK priorities

An East Douglas MHK is putting the same question to six departmental ministers in Tynwald next week to find out their intentions for the coming year.

Brenda Cannell is asking what their main priorities are in terms of policy issues over the next twelve months.

Mrs Cannell says she was prompted to do this because so far all MHKs have had is a policy statement, or 'wish list', of Chief Minister Tony Brown's aspirations.

She says the question should also enable the court to scrutinise ministers' future actions:
