Time Team this weekend

Exciting discoveries made by TV archaeologists Time Team at Mount Murray last year will hit our screens this weekend.

A stone tablet covered with Ogham script, a primitive Celtic written language, was described as an artefact of national importance at the time.

Another rare find at the keeil site was the skeleton of a 6th Century Celtic woman, complete with plaited remains of her hair.

Osteo archaeologist Jackie McKinley, who worked on the dig, says an item like this provides a fascinating insight into the past:
