Councillor praises work on river

Offenders on community service are being praised by Douglas Corporation for helping rebuild the eroded banks along a stretch of the Middle River.

Chairman of the Public Works Committee, Ritchie McNicholl (pictured), calls it a "success story" which could be repeated, with similar projects, in the future.

The work is being carried out on the section between Kewaigue and the back of the golf clubhouse:
