Castle Mona forum tonight

by isleofman.com 10th January 2007
People concerned about the future of the Castle Mona will have an opportunity to have their say at a public meeting this evening.

Local businessman Martin Moore is running a campaign to have the building preserved as a hotel and leisure complex and is holding an open forum at the Villa Marina.

The Department of Tourism and Leisure has said interest has been shown in the premises, and there are encouraging signs it may be retained as a tourism facility.

Mr Moore says too many tourist sites in Douglas have changed to residential or business use and he doesn't want the same thing to happen again (audio file attached):

The public forum will be in the Colonnade Suite, starting at 7.30pm.
