Stranglers and McFly for Peel

by isleofman.com 10th January 2007
Seventies punk band the Stranglers, and McFly, are the latest artists to be confirmed for the Peel Bay Festival.

The Stranglers will co-headline on Mad Sunday, June 3, with another band to be announced shortly.

McFly will be appearing on a different night and their co-headliners will also be revealed soon.

The Stranglers are well known for a string of hits including Peaches, No More Heroes and Golden Brown, and the current line-up includes all but one of the original members.

The festival is due to run for seven days from May 30, and will be staged in a 10,000 capacity marquee on Peel Headland.

Also confirmed are Robin Gibb and former Smokie frontman Chris Norman on June 2 and the Counterfeit Stones and the Bootleg Beatles on June 4.

And there will be more on the build up to the Peel Bay Festival on this afternoon's 'Supplement' programme, with Bob Harrison.
