Minister advocates modernising laws

New Minister for Trade and Industry, David Cretney, says changes need to be made to industrial legislation in the Isle of Man.

He was speaking as he embarked on a series of visits to major players in the Island's manufacturing industry.

When he took on the role Mr Cretney (pictured) said he saw such visits as one of his first priorities.

He believes his department has an important role to play in ensuring the future prosperity of existing and new firms, and modernising law will play a crucial part in this:
