Fire fighters earn special recognition

by isleofman.com 9th January 2007
Six firefighters receive awards from the Lieutenant Governor at Government House today.

Vice Admiral Sir Paul Haddacks is handing over Long Service and Good Conduct medals to Station Officers John Bellis and Nigel Fairclough, and to firefighters David Little and Les Quayle.

All four have completed 20 years whole or part-time service.

David Crennell and David Woodworth, two firefighters who retired last year, after serving nearly 30 years, are receiving the Isle of Man Government Iluminated Address.

The Fire Brigade Long Service and Good Conduct Medal is awarded with a Royal Warrant from the Queen.
