Good News for scouting

Good news for boys and girls in the south of the Island who want to join the Scouts.

A new troop is being formed - and they're after some raw recruits!

Ballasalla-based 1st Malew Scouts has reached full capacity - so a second troop is being formed under an experienced leadership team.

Meetings will be held on Mondays between 8 and 9 pm - and will be open to youngsters aged between 10 and-a-half and 14.

Anyone interested in joining should go along to the Scout Hall in Mill Road - on the way to the Ford - on Monday evening at 8.

Scout leader Roger Birtles says he'd expect a Scout to learn a great deal during the years with the troop:
