Changes to cervical screening

The cervical screening programme in the Isle of Man is changing.

Until now women aged between 20 and 65 were invited for routine screening every three years.

However, it's now been decided that women will only go for a smear test from the age of 25.

Director of Health Promotion, Lez Dorward, says evidence published in 2003 showed screening in people under that age was unnecessary:
