A spokesman for Liverpool's John Lennon Airport says they have had "very little negative comment" regarding the introduction of an additional ?2 charge to go through security.
The airport says the charge is needed to cover increasing security costs, although major user EasyJet (which doesn't fly to the Isle of Man) says these are already covered by fare supplements paid by passengers.
Although turnstiles have been installed, the charge hasn't been actually levied as yet, although it was scheduled to be introduced on Monday.

The DHSS on the Island has expressed concerns about the charge, as the Manx Government pays for 6,000 patients a year to fly to Merseyside for specialist treatment.
It would therefore face the possibility of having to find an extra ?12,000 per annum.
