by isleofman.com 1st January 2007
A young boy bravely battling a rare cancer, has broadcast a message of thanks for the Manx public: (audio clip attached)

That's eleven year old Connor Steventon, who was diagnosed as having a desmoplastic small round cell tumour, which affects the soft cells, muscle and fat, at the end of April.

Since diagnosis he's been receiving treatment here and the in the UK, and a worldwide search has been undertaken to find alternative therapies and clinical trials which would improve his condition.

So far, around ?15,000 has been raised for Connor's charity fund.
