Memorial ride out for James Berry

Drivers out in the Douglas area this morning (Sunday) are being asked to take care on the roads as a memorial ride-out for a promising young cyclist takes place.

The group of riders will be setting off from the NSC at around 9.15am to mark the anniversary of the death of James Berry.

The 13 year-old from Governor's Hill, died tragically from injuries sustained in a road accident late last year.

The NSC's youth cycling organiser, Dot Tilbury, has asked for motorists to be patient and give consideration if they encounter the riders (audio file attached):
