Criminals urged to help catch thief

Police are appealing for members of the Island’s criminal fraternity to hand over the burglar who stole from the house of a dead woman.

Thieves broke into 82 year old Wynn Alison O'Meara’s house in Mill Road, Ballasalla after she died earlier this month following a fire.

They stole a gold dress ring, a bracelet and a necklace as well as a silver necklace and alcohol including port, gin and whisky.

Constable Alan Shimmin says others may know who is behind the theft, and is appealing for them to turn those responsible in to police:
