Challenges facing new Minister

The recently re-appointed agriculture minister has set himself a major challenge during the lifetime of the newly installed government.

Rushen MHK Phil Gawne (pictured) wants to revitalise the industry to the extent that farmers once again encourage their children to follow in their footsteps.

He says he would be delighted if he could help make it a viable career for young people to pursue, although he acknowledges agriculture faces huge challenges:
