Response to planning criticism

Planning on the Island isn't geared towards builders and developers.

So says President of the Employers Federation Tony Wood.

He was speaking after planning permission was given for a controversial development in Farmhill, Braddan, which was granted by former DOLGE Minister John Rimington after an independent inspector's report suggested the original decision to turn down the scheme on environmental grounds be reversed.

Mr Wood (pictured) says whilst there might be a common perception that builders and developers will always get their plans through, he believes this is far from the truth:
