Deeply dippy

by isleofman.com 22nd December 2006
While one New Year's Day dip is enough for some people, a hardy group of southsiders will be taking the plunge three times!

The swimmers have been dipping for four years and hope to raise ?10,000 for the Isle of Man Save the Children.

The charity is hoping to raise enough to build four schools in Sri Lanka.

The dips begin at 10.30am at the Port St Mary Inner Harbour, moving on to Gansey Beach in Port Erin 45 minutes later.

They'll then be at Port Erin beach by 12 noon.

And organiser Lenny Conroy isn’t even going to be in the Island when the clock strikes midnight on New Year’s Eve!

Fundraising forms are available from Lenny on 461245.
