New DTI Minister - less fun, more business

by isleofman.com 21st December 2006
The new man at the helm of the Department of Trade and Industry says he'll do all he can to further the success of Island businesses.

David Cretney (pictured) says our future prosperity and levels of public spending depend on a diverse economy that promotes excellence.

Over the coming months, he aims to meet key players in all sectors, as well as the Chamber of Commerce and Employers' Federation.

And Mr Cretney says he will continue to promote the Island's successful shipping register, e-gaming and film industries.

But will the former Minister for Fun be able to sit on the sidelines at next year's TT festival?
