Velodrome - a step closer

by isleofman.com 18th December 2006
The team behind a project to use Nivison Stadium in Onchan Park as a cycling velodrome has presented its case.

The Isle of Man Cycling Association this afternoon (Monday) submitted its business plan to stadium owners, Onchan Commissioners, who will decide in the New Year which organisation it will lease the facility to.

The current licence holders, which run stock cars and go-karting, also want to continue operating.

The Association’s Steve Shimmin believes the benefits are obvious.
