Holmes fined

by isleofman.com 15th December 2006
A 21 year old man has been fined ?500 by the High Bailiff for provoking behaviour.

David Ivan Holmes of Groudle Road, Onchan, admitted that he smashed a window at the house where his ex-girlfriend lived with their ten month old son.

Sergeant Darren Bradford said police attended the house in Reginald Mews, Douglas at 9.30am on November 19th.

The woman, Gemma Pooley, said the defendant had been baby sitting, then as he was leaving started to shout and threaten her, then punched the window which shattered, showering her and the baby with glass.

His advocate said a long term relationship had ended. Holmes was "wound up" by Miss Pooley because he felt he was being used purely for baby sitting.
