Morris sentence adjourned

by isleofman.com 14th December 2006
Sentence on a 22 year old woman has been adjourned by the High Bailiff for reports.

Rachel Elizabeth Morris of Mooragh Promenade, Ramsey, admitted using threatening abusive and insulting words or behaviour and assaulting two police officers, PC's Moore and Corkish.

The officers were attending at 1.30am on West Quay, Ramsey on October 23rd, when the defendant approached them and started to shout abuse.

She refused to be quiet and leave the area and was arrested. She then kicked out at police hitting both officers and had to be restrained by officers with leg straps.

She was bailed until January 9th but was given permission to leave the Island for the Christmas period.
