Concerns for missing man

by isleofman.com 12th December 2006
Police are increasingly concerned for the safety of a man who has been missing since last Friday (8th).

58 year old Douglas man Peter Merritt, known commonly as "Bob", is described as being white, of slim build with short receding black hair, greying at the sides, with a ruddy complexion and wearing glasses. He also has two distinctive tattoos, a dark green bird on his left forearm and a purple flower on his right forearm.

When last seen he was wearing a dark blue tartan type check shirt, light blue jeans, a zip up dark green fleece and a pair of light brown suede trainers.

Mr Merritt is not in any trouble, police say they and his family are only concerned for his welfare.

Anyone who knows of his whereabouts is asked to ring police headquarters on 631 212, speak to any police officer or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111
