Robin Gibb headlines festival

by isleofman.com 11th December 2006
The organisers of next summer's Peel Bay Festival have confirmed the line-ups for the first two nights.

The six day event will get underway with a celebration of music in the Isle of Man, with a specially composition piece lasting 20 minutes; Manx resident Chris Norman, from the group Smokie; and the headlining act, Bee Gee Robin Gibb.

The festival will take place in a huge marquee, holding 10,000 people, on the headland at Peel, and Robin says he will be presenting a varied programme:

Robin Gibb spoke to Bernie Quayle on Manx Radio this afternoon, and answered a question posed by the new MHK for Peel, Tim Crookall, who asked about Robin's potential move to the Island.

The second day of the six day festival will feature the leading tribute bands, the Counterfeit Stones and the Bootleg Beatles.
