Christmas cheer for burgled family

by isleofman.com 11th December 2006
A big-hearted Manx Radio listener has stepped in to provide some Christmas cheer for a Douglas family.

After hearing their home had been broken into and gifts and cash stolen, he contacted Manx Radio to offer his help.

He’s given ?150 to replace some of the presents taken from the house in Hatfield Grove last Thursday.

The man who lives in Castletown but wishes to remain anonymous, says he was saddened to hear about the theft.

In particular, he says he was concerned to hear that the gifts stolen were intended for children.

In true Christmas spirit, he’s sent a cheque via Manx Radio to help replace some of the family’s festive cheer.

Police are still hunting those behind the crime, and anybody with any information can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
