Remanded on cocaine charge

A man charged with possessing over ?6,000 worth of cocaine with intent to supply has been remanded in custody by the Deputy High Bailiff.

41 year old Michael Vincent Lappin, of Circular Road, Douglas is also accused of stealing good from Tesco where he was a shelf stacker.

Asking for the defendant to be remanded in custody Police Sergeant John Manley said ?15,000 in cash had been found in his flat and the substance, thought to be cocaine, had a street value of ?6,200.

Mr Lappin will next appear before the High Bailiff on December 19th.
