Head cameras for byelaw officers?

The video Headcams being evaluated by the Isle of Man Constabulary could also be used by Douglas Corporation.

Representatives from the manufacturers will demonstrate the recorders to both bodies later this week, and Councillor Stephen Pitts (pictured) believes they should be issued to the borough's bye-law enforcement officers.

The cameras are worn above the user's ear, recording everything they hear and see.

Councillor Pitts says they could make an important contribution to the fight against crime:
