The first dozen or so men to hold the title Mayor of Douglas are to have roads named after them in a new housing development.
Reayrt y Sheear, or West View, is currently under construction off Johnny Watterson's Lane, on the outskirts of the town.
In all cases both surnames and Christian names will be used, and those honoured will include Sam Webb, who already has a pub named after him, and Mayor Robert Swan-Steven.
