Cannan unhappy with election process

Michael MHK David Cannan says democracy has not been well-served this week in the quest for a new Chief Minister.

He was one of three initial candidates for the post and was dropped after the second round of voting.

He says it's clear that Tynwald didn't want ANY of the early contenders - but that Legislative Council members should have no place in selecting the Chief Minister anyway:
