Samaritans offer Christmas support

The Samaritans is there to offer help and support for people on the Isle of Man who need them over the Christmas period.

That is according to the Isle of Man branch Publicity Officer, Ray Harvey, who says it is traditionally a busy period for them.

The charity is now contactable by both text and email, along with the established telephone numbers and postal correspondence.

The new email contact is jo@samaritans.org and the text number is 07725 909090. The Samaritans can also be contacted on 663399 locally, or 08457 909090 in the UK.

Mr Harvey says, unfortunately, the festive period isn't all sweetness and light for everybody:
